Who we are

Reclaim Rebuild Eg West (RREW) is a Toronto-based, youth-led advocacy group dedicated to preserving the vibrant cultural heritage of Little Jamaica.

Founded in 2020, RREW emerged in direct response to the gentrification and displacement of Black residents and businesses in this historic neighborhood, driven by Metrolinx projects, racial violence by the Toronto Police Service, and systemic neglect from all three levels of government.

Our team consists of passionate youth from the diaspora, drawing on our collective knowledge and lived experiences to effect meaningful change.

Through imaginative, creative, and impactful resistance strategies, coupled with community aid initiatives, RREW is committed to uplifting and sustaining Little Jamaica for generations to come.
